How Do I Meet People?

PFWC is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.  We believe that every member is a minister at PFWC.  Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at PFWC.

  • Secretarial Service – Individuals who will volunteer their services one day per week for 2-3 hours.
  • Frontline Ministries –Greet people & welcome them when they come in, give visitors welcome packet, introduce them to others, send notes out to those who have missed, visit, etc.
  • Maintenance/Handyman – Available to assist in routine repairs, mowing, snow removal or cleaning of church.
  • Promo – Newspaper, Posters, etc.
  • Playground – Updates, repairs, beautification, spreading of mulch, etc.
  • Scouts – Den Leaders, Helpers, Greeters, Refreshments,
  • Decorations – Individuals who are willing to see that the church is decorated for the seasons.
  • Pastor’s Prayer Partner – Pray for and during the service one Sunday per month along with committing to pray for the Pastor and attending a bi-monthly prayer breakfast
  • Upward Basketball – Greeters, Devotional, Scoring, Announcing, Set-up/Tear-down, etc.
  • Kidz Zone Ministries Teacher – This exciting evening outreach ministry meets all together currently but we need teachers to break the groups up as we continue to grow.  We also need individuals that we could count on to substitute, provide snacks, work with recreation and crafts.
  •  Kidz Zone Children’s Church – Individuals who are willing to take children for Worship service for them, one-two Sunday per month, during the Worship service.
  • 50’s and over Activities Team – Planning, promoting, etc.
  • Nursery & Toddlers– Individuals who will take 1 Sunday per month during worship to watch infants up to 3 years old.
  • Visitation – Individuals who are willing to visit those who are ill, absent or new visitors.
  • Missions – Individual who will maintain correspondence with our missionaries, assist in mission trip planning, and send in soup labels to Hephzibah, etc.
  • Phone – Individuals who are willing to call visitors, absentees, and those who are ill, promo, etc.
  • Newsletter – Editing, Articles, Folding, Addressing, etc.
  • Opening up of Home – Individuals who are willing to open up their homes for Connect and Grow groups, housing college students that are traveling through or social events.
  • Men’s Ministries – Men who are willing to reach out to other men through Bible Studies, Work Teams, etc.
  • Women Ministries – Women who are willing to reach out to other women through Bible Studies, Crafts, Outreach, etc.
  • Vacation Bible School –Teachers, Helpers, Music, Recreation, Crafts, Snacks, Promo, etc.
  • Special Events Team – Assist in helping to coordinate big event days like our outdoor service, celebration Sunday, Friend Day, etc.
  • Youth Ministry – Sponsors, Chaperones, Transportation, Mentoring, Refreshments, etc.
  • Bible Quizzing – Helpers/Leaders for children & Teens, Transportation, etc.
  • Leadership – Church Board, Team Leaders, Coordinator, etc.
  • Ushers – Receiving Offering, Counting offering after the service, counting, etc.
  • Set Up/ Tear down – Special Events, etc.
  • Landscaping – Planting of Flowers, watering plants, care of plants, etc.
  • C.G. (Sunday School)  Statistician – Collecting Sunday School books, counting offering, recording, etc.
  • Neighborhood Outreach – Canvassing, Prayer, Block Party
  • Short Term Mission Teams – Individuals who are willing to give 1 or 2 weeks of their life to go on a mission trip to assist missionaries or other churches.
  • Fund Raisers – Youth, Children, Special Projects
  • Web-site – suggestions, updates, etc.
  • Hospital Visitation – Self-explanatory
  • Nursing Home Visitation  - Worship Services, Devotionals, Music, etc.
  • Recovery Groups – Alcoholic Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, Divorce Care
  • Transportation – Sunday’s, Wednesday’s, Special Events, etc.
  • Altar Counselors – Those who are willing to be trained to pray with and encourage those who are praying.
  • Drama – Those who are willing to use skits, plays and many other creative ways to present to Good News
  • Sound Technician – Someone willing to learn how to set up and run the sound system
  • Music – Individuals who are musically talented and are willing to sing or play an instrument during the Worship Service.
  • Instrumental: Those who are willing to play their instruments to make the Worship experience more celebrative and full.
  • Cooking – Welcome Dinners for New Attendees, Special Events, Fellowship Dinners, etc.
  • Other – The list goes on and on to the various events that you can be involved in.
